‘I attended my first National Transplant & Dialysis Games in 2004 and I went to my first European event in Germany in 2008. I subsequently took part in the Europeans in Dublin in 2010 and Poland in 2014. I enjoy travelling, gardening and using social media to connect with people all around the world’.
‘For me it is all about the friendship. Being part of Transplant Team Ireland is being part of an extended family. I have made great friends through my involvement with the team. There has also been the opportunity to see new places – I was lucky enough to travel to the World Transplant Games in South Africa as a supporter in 2013. My husband has been the team manager since 2005 and I enjoy the fact that we get to share the team experience together’.
‘I hope to meet up with old friends, make new friends and challenge myself to be the best that I can be in my chosen sports’.
