Her first time to represent Ireland as part of Transplant Team Ireland was when she competed in the World Transplant Games in Australia in 2009. A year later she competed in the European Championships in Dublin in 2010 where she bagged a Bronze medal and then two years later she brought home more medals, two bronze, when she competed in the biennial European Championships when they were held in Zagreb, Croatia in 2012.
Soon after this her kidney function started to decline and she took a break from transplant sport for a while. She has been receiving dialysis treatment since March 2013. Undeterred she decided to represent Ireland once again, this time as a dialysis patient, when she competed in the 2014 European Championships in Krakow, Poland and there she added one Silver and one Bronze medal to her haul.
